Oat cookies

oat cookies and Agatha

This recipe has been at least ten years old and over the years we have tried a cloud of variations: with and without raisins, with high-grade flour and with peeled, baked to caramel or just barely. Here he is, pet, adjusted to a gram of flour and a minute in the oven!

Oat cookies

A small supply of this cookie can always be found in our kitchen in the verythat French tin with a bicycle on the lid.

  • 100 g butter - or coconut oil
  • 70 g brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 70 g oat flakes
  • 70 g whole grain flour

  1. Remove the butter from the refrigerator so that it softens. It is convenient to weigh 100 recipe grams at once into the bowl where you will knead the dough.

  2. Preheat oven to 175 ºC.

  3. Pound butter with sugar with an ordinary tablespoon. Add the egg to the mixture, mix until smooth.

  4. Pour the oatmeal and mix again. Add flour - and once again bring the dough to a uniform state.

  5. Put dough balls, the size of a large walnut, on a baking sheet covered with parchment. It is convenient to do two tablespoons, as if you were making queli. You know how to do the dumplings?

  6. Bake the pan in the oven for 16 minutes. We love when the cookies have already been baked, but have not yet reddened, so all tastes sound most fully.

  7. Cool it down.

  8. Put them in a box and don't tell anyone about it.

Notes

One of the options for presenting this cookie to guests, especially if these guests are not yet 10 years old, is to put a bouquet of porridge in a high vase. To do this, before baking, insert a bamboo stick into each cookie. It will turn out to be almost keypops.
